Vyomanaut is a psychedelic music project created by electronic music producer and DJ, Shreyas Bagalkot, from Bangalore, India. An audio-visual professional, Shreyas, has spent 12+ years working in the audio streaming industry as a music programmer, A&R, and content strategist, among a few other titles. He has worked with Radio Indigo, The Jukebox Studio, Gaana and recently with YouTube as a Team Manager, Rights Management. He shares a long and solid relationship with music across all genres and languages, and Vyomanaut is an outlet aimed at showcasing his rendition of electronic music. Vyoma in the ancient language of Sanskrit means Space… So loosely, Vyomanaut translates to astronaut. 

Vyomanaut has been experimenting with ambient and psychedelic sounds to create a world of lush, organic atmospheres and otherworldly drones with floaty melodies and crisp groovy basslines. His music is intended to make his listeners feel a deep connection with themselves, the Nature and Cosmos. Through his music, he wants to spread the idea of liberation, love and self discovery. An amateur astronomer, avid fan of ancient science and history, he wants to tell stories that evoke a strong sense of spirituality in his listeners. An Indian with access to ancient knowledge of inner peace and propagating happiness, Vyomanaut intends to promote  collective consciousness, self awareness and inner peace in the form of enjoyable ambient and psychill soundscapes with meaningful and profound monologues. An active part of the psy community in India, Vyomanaut first experienced the world of ambient psychill at ChillTop, a chill festival organized by the mighty HillTop, Goa in 2018. This world of hypnotic experience motivated the creation of Project Vyomanaut. He wanted to take that sound to more people. He has performed live stream shows on Analog Filter Room and Shamanic Frequencies Festival. Vyomanaut started learning music production in 2020 under his mentor, Valance Paul, a seasoned electronic music producer in India’s underground music scene. After a lot of experimentation in the last 4 years, he decided it was time to show the world what he has been up to. Syncopated Dreams, his debut single, was released on 27th January 2023 and has been performing well with 3800 streams on YouTube. The song spent a month on the prestigious Cosmic Leaf Records’ spotify playlist as well. His second single, Universe In Us, released on 7th November 2023 features a sound byte by his favourite astrophysicist, Niel deGrasse Tyson and was very well received by his community.

2024 will see a few more single releases. 2024 has been a great start for Vyomanaut. He played his debut live performance at Sly Granny Rex Walk, Bangalore on 21st January 2024. On 3rd February 2024 at the 1st edition of Trance Fusion Nights at the mighty Pebble, the jungle lounge, he not only shared the line up with his favourite producer, Suduaya but also opened for him.
